| Dr. Cathy Jessamy-Babb
Dr. Cathy Jessamy-Babb, a Ph.D. graduate of Bernelli University in Cecila, PA, in Education and International Relations has been working in communications for many years. After graduating from the New York School and Radio communications she went on to work at WWRL-AM (1600) New York, then WHBI-FM (New York). She later joined WBTB-TV - Channel 68 New Jersey as hostess and Assistant Producer of West Indian/African World, a television show that reached thousands of people in the New York and Metropolitan areas. She has being personally featured along with her work in many newspapers and magazines including the Boston Globe, The Dorchester Community News among others. She is a public speaker and has spoken at many organizations and schools of higher learning including the University of Connecticut. She has held many seminars and conferences on the Caribbean. She was a former diplomat in New York City for her government. She was born in the Caribbean island of Barbados.
Cathy recently hosted a television show in Lynn, MA, called Caribbean Round-up. She is presently a commentator on WWRL-AM (1330), Caribbean Connection in Cambridge MA, where she educates the listeners on cooking dishes from the Caribbean called Caribbean Delights. She is also educates listeners about the different location in the Caribbean Basin in another focus called the Island Focus.
She is an author and has her own magazines called The Caribbean Basin Magazine and has written more than 35 issues on the Caribbean region in the areas of history, culture, geography and geology. She has her own webpage called Caribbean American Institute of International Relations and Affairs.
Dr. Jessamy-Babb has won many awards for her work and is the holder of Woman of the Year Award from New York.
